Inspired from a local legend LA ESCONDIDA: (which means “the hidden princess” in Spanish) is the name of our first spirit, released in early 2015. It bears the name of a Mixtec princess that fought against colonization and was captured by a Spanish captain in the sixteen century.
Local sailors start saying that one day the princess escape and return as a mermaid to protect them from intruders. This place is called today PUERTO ESCONDIDO,OAXACA a famous surfing spot known for a particular energy floating in the air, a unique energy that you can feel inside each bottle of La Escondida – Grand Mezcal.
